Our focus is to develop simple and rapid point-of-care tests to detect antigens or antibodies associated with infectious and parasitic diseases of animals. The current research and development activities include:

  • Lyme disease
  • Anaplasmosis
  • Erhlichiosis
  • Leptospirosis
  • Babesiosis
  • Leishmania

Priorities include finding potential targets—substances that new diagnostic tools might measure in patient samples—and improving the sensitivity and specificity of currently available diagnostic tests thereby leading to more accurate results.
